a cOOPERATIVE APPROACH

Gan Shalom is a cooperative School built on the participation of its families.

Classroom Duty
Gan Shalom families are asked to assist in the classroom approximately every three to four weeks.  The duty parent is encouraged to share a skill, hobby, or special interest with the children. Classroom duty may be filled by any caregiver designated by the parent before the beginning of the year, and may include parents, grandparents, or nannies. The duty schedule will be provided by Gan Shalom prior to the beginning of the school year, and each parent/caregiver will have an opportunity to provide input on the days that work best for them.
